About:
Nextiles blends traditional sewing techniques with innovative printed circuit boards. We make flexible substrates allowing us to place sensors within fabrics, such as your everyday sportswear. Stitching new sensor architectures and textiles together, Nextiles is able to capture a broad new range of biometric and biomechanics data.
Challenge:
Nextiles approached us with a unique challenge: they needed a comprehensive branding strategy, a UX audit of their existing app and dashboard, and the development of a scalable design system. As a company that combines traditional sewing techniques with printed circuit boards to create innovative fabric-based sensors, Nextiles wanted to enhance their user experience and create a cohesive visual identity across their digital platforms.

Process:
Our approach began with defining Nextiles' brand values and target audience, laying the foundation for a comprehensive branding strategy. We then performed a meticulous UX audit to identify pain points and enhance the existing app and dashboard. This analysis informed the development of a flexible design system that would guide the creation of both platforms.
Solution:
The solution involved creating a visually consistent and user-friendly design system that incorporated Nextiles' new branding elements. We developed a modular approach that allowed for flexibility and scalability, ensuring that the design system could evolve with Nextiles' future needs. The design system provided a set of guidelines, reusable components, and standardized interactions that were applied to both the app and the dashboard. Overall, our solution empowered Nextiles to present a cohesive and engaging user experience, further establishing their position as leaders in the field of fabric-based sensors.
“Working with the Noise team was a great experience. We had a tight deadline that other firms said was ‘unrealistic’ to hit…Not only did Noise meet our timeline, but they exceed our expectations on our website and overall brand refresh. They were super responsive and personally very fun to work with. We will definitely be using them for future design projects!”
